Seen is a premium ’70s Chuck Taylor All Star submerging into white paint, hinting at what appears to be an all-white version of the classic sneaker. In addition to the high-top sneaker, we get to see what looks like a pair of Jack Purcells crashing through a white board in the video clip below. No word yet on what it is exactly the two have cooked up although we hear that more information including a release date and pricing will come this Thursday, September 5.
XLarge and iconic footwear brand Converse teamed up to work on an impressive collection, comprising pretty much most of the brand’s classic sneaker range. We get to see the XL CX-250 SU OX, XL PRO-LEATHER SUEDE ML HI, XL CHEVRONSTAR NUBUCK HI, XL PRO-LEATHER SUEDE DB OX and XL CHEVRONSTAR CK MID, reworked in a bunch of awesome looking seasonal colorways. The branding is kept to minimum, retaining the sneaker’s original design and adding just a custom tongue label indicating the collab project.

Converse has come together with longtime supporter Wiz Khalifa to create 12 brand new styles inspired by the rapper’s rebellious and fashion-forward style. Marking Khalifa’s first foray into footwear design, the collection is dominated by a number of updates to the classic Chuck Taylor All Star and features design cues like a specially created logo, leather and canvas uppers, animal camouflage motifs, and more. Expect the full range of Fall 2013 footwear to hit retailers beginning August 23 with prices ranging from $60 USD to $85 USD.
Wiz Khalifa is readying his own collection with Converse, highlighted by this upcoming Converse All Star Swag Hi done up in characteristic Wiz fashion. The high top’s canvas upper is trimmed with leather and finished in a stellar camo pattern executed in various shades of grey with black, completed with a white rubber toe cap and matching white rubber midsole. Metal eyelets and three rows of metal studs across the tongue add a strong dose of style, while waxed tonal laces contribute to the premium look. Continuing their longstanding collaborative relationship, Missoni and Converse have teamed up for a new edition of the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi for Fall 2012. Donning a triangular patchwork upper in autumnal hues of brown and tan, the high-top sees white and naturally tanned leather detailing on the foxing, tongue, heel pull tab and medial branding patches. Capped off with bright green accents lining the eyestay and hitting the vulcanized rubber outsole, the latest Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi launches this Saturday, September 29, at Australia’s Up There for $270 AUD (approximately $280 USD).
The high top sneaker comes with a navy suede upper, a series of patchwork fabric details and a premium vegetable tanned leather heel. We have learned that the sneaker will release on August 25th, 2012, exclusively at the Stussy New York Store.
Judging from the video preview, there also seems to be a red colorway, but more on that soon.
Stussy continues to set the pace of trends and tastes with an amazing collaboration with Converse First String, giving a special shout-out to its crew based out in New York. What we see here is a patchwork of materials and prints (denim, corduroy, American flag, buffalo plaid) with a leather heel-tab with a press-mold Stussy New York Crew label, all built on the classic Converse Pro Leather model. The quintet arrives in red, navy, green, black and neutral grey, with each pair being mocked up in a buttery suede upper and set atop an off-white outsole. Certainly a major player for Converse fans, this five-pack is also a welcome addition to the sneaker closet of any classic or vintage shoe lover as the timeless pair is re-created an an equally as nostalgic construction. Converse launches The Dark Knight Rises Chuck Taylor All Star Sneaker Collection featuring the Bane Chuck Taylor All Star and the Batman Chuck Taylor All Star just in time for the epic finale of the Batman movie series that premieres on July 20. These limited edition shoes mark Converse’s seventh season collaborating with DC Comics, which first launched for Fall 2010.

Converse Japan has released a new Custom TYO version of the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi in collaboration with mita sneakers. The Tokyo-themed shoes are made of a water-repellent coated canvas camo upper with a white waterproof side zipper. Further details include Thinsulate lining and a hard gum toe cap, which is useful for cycling. Look for availability through Converse retailers in Japan.

Having always shown a strong affinity for leathers and zipper-laden uppers, the latest Converse John Varvatos iteration arrives consistent with the same ethos for Spring/Summer 2012. Having just arrived at CNCPTS, the pair is treated in a vintage-detailed outsole, leather laces, and brushed metal eyelets. Heavy zippers round out the mid-ankle panel and an added button embellishment across the upper tongue finish things off. The premium Converse First String range returns for Summer 2012 with a Chuck Taylor Hi Rise and a Chuck Taylor Ox. Both come with nice fabric uppers with interesting, yet overall subtle, patterns. A striped detail on the heel adds some more flavor and appeal to the sneakers.

Converse announces the launch of the all-new Undefeated for Converse Jack Purcell Collection for Summer 2012 – the first time Undefeated has collaborated with Converse on the Jack Purcell shoe.
For the Summer 2012 Undefeated for Converse Jack Purcell collection, Undefeated made subtle design changes to the iconic shoe, beginning with the addition of stylishly simple red and navy racing stripes to their rubber rands to give the shoes a sporty, classic Converse look and feel. Converse joins in on the always-popular camouflage craze, as they’re set to release the “Camo” Pack next week. The range consists of the brand’s Chuck Taylor All Star in both low and high-top form. The high-cut edition features the double-layered technique with an Olive-colored exterior and camo interior. The low-tops then simply note an all-over camouflage spread. Look for these to become available within the next week at your local Foot Action.
The infatigable Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi is getting an authentic Hispanic treatment in the “Huipil” model. Huipil is actually a traditional and often decorative tunic native to many regions from Mexico to Central America — this particular shoe culls its inspiration from the “U-ipiru” pattern that hails from Guatemala. Everything about the classic Chuck otherwise remains unchanged, from its durable canvas upper to the vulcanized rubber soles. If you’d like a pair, Converse Japan has them in two colorways at the moment for ¥5,900 JPY (approximately $75 USD).
Converse Japan drops some new Chuck Taylor Lows here with these OX Honduras sneakers. Two classic CT colors drop in black and white with each sneaker taking their design inspiration from the folk styling of the country of Honduras. Multi-colored embroidery was used throughout the shoes and yellow eyelets red laces top off the look. You can pick these up at Converse Japan retailers.
The long awaited Converse x Stussy pack has arrived. The first two shoes in the pack are two very different Sea Stars. While they both consist of 100% rip stop one is a nice deep blue with khaki hits and the other is an all over Tiger Camo print. Both shine in their own special way and are must haves. The third shoe is an Elm dressed up with a hiking theme. Very minimal one piece construction with hiker eyelets and laces. All three shoes feature Stussy and Converse branding.

Converse have added a slight touch to their Star Player Ox model for this Remix release, which we quite like. This extremely lightweight shoe’s constructed of an all premium nylon upper that sits on a white vulcanised sole. Around the midsole, you can see a cut-out chevron pattern in a contrasting colour that matches up with the tongue detailing and sole. Converse is no stranger to collaborations, but the footwear brand is teaming up with Stüssy for the first time. Their spring collection is inspired by ’70s hiking boots and vintage military jackets and incorporates boot leather and washed cotton ripstop. See for yourself; the Sea Star LS shoe resembles vintage military jackets with a worn-in feel and the ELM LS takes the D-Ring eyelets and waxed laces from hiking boots. The two sneakers will be available at Converse and Stüssy starting May 1.
Pharrell stopped by UNKWN in Miami today and posted some pictures to his blog that included a few snaps of his brand new custom made Converse Chuck Taylors. NIGO sent Pharrell the shoes but he took it upon himself to give it the look you see now.
